Forecast of very heavy rain for four consecutive days

The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in the northern part of the country and Sylhet division for four consecutive days due to the intensification of a low-pressure area located in the southwestern Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas.

The Meteorological Department has forecast that light to moderate rain/thunderstorm accompanied by temporary gusty/stormy winds and lightning is likely to occur at many places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions on Friday (May 15).

Also, moderate to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. Day and night temperatures may increase slightly across the country. Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm accompanied by temporary gusty/stormy winds and lightning is likely to occur at many places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions on Saturday (May 16).

Also, moderate to heavy rainfall is likely to occur at some places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm accompanied by temporary gusty/stormy winds and lightning is likely to occur at some places in Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chittagong divisions and at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions on Sunday (May 17).

Also, moderate to heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chittagong divisions. Day and night temperatures may increase slightly across the country.

Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm accompanied by temporary gusty/stormy winds and lightning is likely to occur at many places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions on Monday (May 18).

Also, moderate to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.
